Knight Skye Farm is owned by Darryl Leifheit and Janeene Jennings-Leifheit. We are located just a few miles from the Kentucky Horse Park in the heart of the bluegrass. Throughout the last several years we've bred quality registered Saddlebred, Friesians and Georgian Grandes. Now we are out of the breeding business and enjoy following the happy lives our "babies" are leading in their new homes throughout the country.
Darryl retired A Touch Too Much, his 5 gaited Saddlebred mare and is competing with Singsation aka Clint, his formerly 5 gaited Saddlebred gelding and A Savannah Day, aka Trooper, Clint's half brother - in Combined Driving. Darryl, Clint and Trooper train with Sterling Graburn of the Gayla Driving Center in Georgetown KY.
In 2011 Darryl became a member of the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Horse Council and is active on various breed association committees.
Along with a photography hobby, Janeene does a bit of dressage and jumping with our American Saddlebred geldings Bravo and Trooper; our very handsome and athletic Shire gelding, Duncan, and our Friesian mare, Zenobia.
We are both huge fans of the American Saddlebred and are actively promoting the versatility of this intelligent, beautiful and exceptionally willing/trainable breed.
